GaiaCode Attends Three Scientific Conferences

08 Sep 2024

In the next few months GaiaCode will be present at three academic conferences displaying our product range, the latest updates on our equipment and software as well as contributing to the technical sessions. We will also share our excitement in describing the highlights of our latest achievement, installing the world's first integrated geophysical borehole observatory near the Marmara Sea in Türkiye.

We start with the 39th General Assembly of the European Seismological Commission (ESC) to be held on the Greek island of Corfu 22-27 September 2024. The organizers expect more than 700 seismologists from over 60 countries to participate. They will give more than 1000 presentations covering all aspects of earthquake research, from seismic hazard and risk, physics of earthquakes, study of the Earth’s interior, array seismology, engineering seismology, induced seismicity, seismic anisotropy and earthquake forecasting.

In the technical session "Seismic Instrumentation: How Precise is Precise Enough?" we will be describing our unique method of precisely calibrating each seismic sensor.

The second conference which we will attend is the 21st Geophysical Congress and Exhibition of Türkiye, to be held 16-18 October 2024 in the MTA Cultural Center in the Turkish capital Ankara. At this meeting several hundred Geophysical Engineers from various countries will discuss topics related to Mining and Geothermal Exploration, Oil and Gas Exploration, Near Surface Investigations and Airborne and Marine Geophysical Studies.

Thirdly, we will participate in the 15th General Assembly of the Asian Seismological Commission, which will be held 3-7 November in the coastal town of Antalya in Türkiye. The conference will provide a platform to share scientifically and technically significant studies related to recent destructive earthquakes worldwide, including the Kahramanmaraş earthquakes on February 6, 2023, which resulted in extensive loss of life and property across a wide geographical area. Besides showing our latest equipment, including our ALPHA ultra-broadband borehole seismometer, we will report on our new geophysical borehole observatory.

Come see us at any of these conferences and let us discuss our latest additions to our product line and talk about some of the exciting projects GaiaCode is involved in.
